Each Spring (April 19-21, 2008) the city of Salisbury, N.C., hosts the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association’s annual awards program and Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the most respected and accomplished sports media in the United States. There is a sportscaster of the year and sportswriter of the year from each state, as well as a national sportscaster and sportswriter of the year.  The NSSA holds its annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony this weekend as well.

This next event is the 49th annual edition of this prestigious awards program. The weekend includes awards banquets, seminars, a dinner and dance and a golf tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury’s Donald Ross layout.
